Thanks to IRC's sponsorship, Josue and Axel will receive the essential benefits such as educational assistance, basic health and dental care, durable clothing and shoes, and improved living conditions. The despair they would otherwise feel is replaced by hope. And that hope, in turn, ignites a kindness and a generosity among the most humble of families.
Axel, age 7, and his family live in Honduras. He lives with mom, dad and 14 year old sister in a one bedroom home. Axel's favorite subject in school are grammar and art. When not in school, he enjoys playing with his toys and cars, singing and dancing.
Josue, age 7, lives with his family in Guatemala. He has one older brother, one older sister, and one younger sister. They live with their parents in a two bedroom home. Josue enjoys running, playing with his toys, painting and drawing.
Over the past month, we have received letters from Axel and Josue. In their letters they describe what they do for fun, how they help around the house and that they are grateful for what we are doing for them. In addition to our monthly sponsorship, IRC will also send out gift packages to both of the children during their culture's major holidays.
